2019: Expansion plan of St. Mary the Protectress Ukrainian Orthodox Millennium Villa

With the Villa having full occupancy during the last 30 years as well as a major donation to the facility from The Maria & Fedor Horban Estate in 2017/2018, enabled the Board of Directors to implement the upgrading of apartments to new standards and explore options for expansion of the Villa. 

September 15, 2019: Villa celebrated 30 years of its successful operation 

On September 15, 2019, over two hundred members and guests  of Mary the Protectress Ukrainian Orthodox Millennium Villa gathered together to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the founding of the Villa in September of 1989.

September 10, 1989: The offcial opening of the Villa 

The Villa is a 72 unit full suite residence for persons 55 years and over, was incorporated as a nonprofit corporation on December 1, 1987. 
The blessing of the facility and the official opening happened in 1989.

1968: Building committee started by St. Mary the Protectress Brotherhood

Original purpose was to raise funds for an auditorium. Purpose changed in the 1980’s to build a senior affordable housing complex. Funds raised from Bingo provided cash for the project. 
Land was supplied by the Parish for the project.
